Founded in 2014 by Deirdre Morris and Rebecca Lindo, Touchstone Trustees is a leading provider of independent trust services. They offer a comprehensive range of stand-alone trustee services, collaborating seamlessly with clients’ advisors and managers to provide objective, impartial and specialised guidance.

Rebecca Lindo LL.B

Rebecca grew up in Christchurch and qualified in law at the University of Canterbury, after which she lived and worked in Guernsey, Channel Islands. There she specialised in the establishment and administration of offshore trusts, companies and asset protection strategies utilising various jurisdictions. During that time she also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Rebecca then spent nine years in the Bay Area of California where she was a trust specialist in a private bank, dealing with personal family trusts, conservatorships, probates and succession planning.

Rebecca is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).

Deirdre Morris LL.B Hons

Deirdre has wide-ranging experience in providing private client advice in the commercial, trust, tax and property arenas as a former partner and consultant in a commercial law firm in Christchurch and then as an associate of a national specialist trust and taxation firm.

She is an experienced presenter to professional bodies in Australia and New Zealand regarding the use of trusts and commercial and taxation issues. She has extensive background in the public sector managing conflict resolution, prosecutions, and major litigation as senior legal counsel for the Commerce Commission and as chair of various decision making bodies for the Real Estate Agents Authority.  She has applied this experience over the last ten years as a principal of Touchstone Trustees and co-trustee of numerous trusts and estates that hold and manage assets both privately and in the business arena.

Kirsty Morris LL.B

Kirsty was a pracising lawyer for over 18 years, with a strong focus on succession planning, trusts and estate administration. She also worked for a large New Zealand trustee corporation. As a Trust Adviser at Touchstone, Kirsty combines her deep trust knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of property and commercial matters from a legal perspective. She enjoys applying her knowledge and experience to contribute to the services provided by Touchstone.

Gemma Allen

Gemma is a qualified legal executive who began her career working in the debt collection industry before advancing to become a legal assistant in a law firm. She worked primarily for trust practitioners before joining Touchstone. Her understanding of commercial processes adds excellent skills that complement her strong understanding of trust law and administration which she now applies at Touchstone.

Sala Bandara

Originally from Sri Lanka, Sala moved to New Zealand with her family in early 2019. Her positive, can-do attitude has enabled her to build meaningful relationships with clients and advisors. Sala provides excellent support to the Touchstone team and her attention to detail makes her a key asset here at Touchstone.

Katherine Willis

With nearly 20 years of experience as a legal secretary and personal assistant in law firms, Katherine brings her comprehensive understanding of the legal profession and client service to Touchstone. Over the past 12 years, she has specialised in trust work, developing a strong technical understanding of the intricacies of trusts and estates. Katherine is known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence in every aspect of her work.

She excels in applying her skills and experience to navigate complex trust and estate matters with confidence and care.
